Fromage de Selles-sur-cher
Le Selles-sur-Cher
Historical cheese from the Cher valley
It's been enchanting locals since the late 19th century. Today, Selles-sur-Cher has both an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) and a protected designation of origin (PDO).
We recommend the Moreau dairy, specialists in traditional Val de Cher goat cheeses since 1904: Sainte Maure de Touraine and Selles-sur-Cher. The Moreau dairy regularly wins medals in competitions for the best appellation goat cheeses. Do a some shopping, and you'll find some of the region's finest products on the shelves. And for the bargain-hunters, not far from here, you'll also find a second-hand shop open at weekends.

Troglo dégusto
Troglo dégusto
(2h30 underground immersion)
The aim of a Troglo Degusto visit? To open your eyes to the titanic work carried out by thousands of workers over centuries to extract the Tuffeau stone. Learn about the history of these kilometers of underground galleries through anecdotes and Stéphane's good humor, and finally taste fine wines accompanied by local produce.
Stéphane is passionate about the place, which he runs with a master's hand in collaboration with his sister-in-law Anne, who looks after the winegrowing side. Stéphane, nicknamed 'the caveman', is the kind of person who doesn't just give you a guided tour. You feel his passion
